What a treat to get away to Playa del Carmen due to the kindness of some friends. That love is truly amazing.
On our first day we had a lovely walk along the emerald green water and enjoyed the beautiful creations.
The ferries are coming and going every few minutes. Those captains maneuver those big boats like they were mini Coopers. What skill?
So after taking all this in we head back to the park to find a spot in the shade to engage in our favorite hobby of people watching. A little gal walking around in a pretty dress catches our eye. Umbrellas and hats with a bible - yes those are our people. After we sit down we look around and there are about 20 of the friends talking to various ones on the park. How that strenghtens our hearts!
We approach some who have finished chatting and exchange hugs and kisses after identifying ourselves with our broken Spanish. It never grows old that feeling of being instantly drawn by love to one another.
They are from one of the many local Spanish congregations and they are having the visit of the circuit overseer that week. How nice to see their zealous efforts.
Another treat was to sit in as the friends discuss the Revelation book. We did this after eating a delicious lentil soup. This was all in our first day.
Below is a little tradition we have of taking a photo of our feet as we balance together in whatever ocean we visit. I'm sure watching us do it is more entertaining than the actual photo.
Ya gotta have fun.
